Indiana University will still admit students from countries effected by President Trump’s travel ban. This means that prospective students from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen are still able to apply and attend IU.

Associate vice president for international services at IU, Chris Viers, says that the ban won’t stop IU from accepting students but it may stop them from applying.

“The order itself is not going to keep us from welcoming applications from those countries,” said Viers. “The bigger question, obviously, is whether those students will have any interest in coming to the U.S. when, clearly, they’re not feeling very welcome by our government right now,”
